The LifeTRUST Plan has eased my mind from the terrible burden of “what will happen to my son when I’m gone? Who will support him? Will he have those “extra’s I’ve seen to while I was here”
The program is simple. My son will receive through a trustee of my choosing whatever he needs at regular intervals, not to exceed the government cap. The fund will supplement whatever benefits he receives from the government.

About our LifeTRUST Planning Team
Since 1989 LifeTRUST Planning has helped families prepare a comprehensive future life plan for their family member with a disability and save tax dollars. With more than 35 years of experience in this highly specialized field, we have assisted families in addressing their concerns and helped create million of dollars in trust funds dedicated to the future financial security of their child, without affecting their entitlement to Government benefits and services.

John Dowson, Executive Director
John is the Executive Director and founder of LifeTRUST Planning. He is the author of “Lifetime Security Planning Kit” a do-it-yourself future planning guide that shows parents how to prepare a future life plan for their child, and “A Personal Life Plan” a planning guide for the Letter of Intent. John is a long standing member of “Community Living Newmarket and Aurora District” and chairs their Community Development Committee. He is a co-trustee and advocate of a special needs “Henson” trust for his niece. John has spoken on Life Planning issues to over 300 organizations in Canada and a key note speaker at provincial and national conferences for parents of people with disabilities. His insights on Life Planning for people with a disability have been featured in major Canadian newspapers and publications such as; The Toronto Star, The Toronto Sun, The National Post, The Investment Executive, TD Mutual funds magazine, Advisors Edge, Exceptional Family and many more. Dan King, MBA: Disability Tax Credit Specialist
Dan is the Disability Tax Credit Specialist for LifeTRUST Planning. He has extensive experience working with companies and non-profit organizations helping streamline operations and stay abreast of technical breakthroughs. Dan's unique insight into the Disability tax benefits for families and people with a disability has helped them recover taxes they never should have paid.
