How much money can I have in a Henson Trust?
Posted By: dowson On Tuesday, January 09, 2007
An unlimited amount of money
In ontario there is a misconception that the asset limit of a Henson trust is $100,000. The fact is that any amount of money or property can be held in a “Henson” trust. There is no limit on the amount of assets that can be held in a “Henson“ trust. However there are restrictions on how much money an ODSP recipient may have each 12 months. An ODSP recipient may receive up to $5,000 a year for personal use and any amount for  disability related expenses. For more details visit the Ontario Disability Support Program web site.

L. Mariani
Newmarket, Ontario

Disability Tax Credit client, she got back $12100. John Dear Dan, Without your help I would not have know how to go about collecting this money. I am sure there are a lot of people out there in the same position I was in. You made all the forms easy for me and then had to chase after the paper work that went astray. I greatly appreciate all your help. Many thanks. Yours Truly,
