Are there lawyers with special knowledge in special needs planning?
Posted By: dowson On Tuesday, January 09, 2007
Yes, but be certain the lawyer is aware of your special needs.
You should be aware that estate plans for people with disabilities are unique and that most competent lawyers who are involved in estate planning should immediately recognize the situation. What they may lack is knowledge regarding the specific needs of your child. However you can supply this information at the time of your estate planning conference.
