            How I Learned I Am NOT Disabled

            Born with almost no movement in her body, Judith Snow’s parents were told to 

           expect her early death. Now – over sixty years old – Judith tells a powerful story  

           of how “I can’t” and “You can’t” can be transformed into a miraculous, fun and valuable life.

Theatre

May 2009                                                             

                 The Book of Judith, The Theatre Centre, Toronto, ON:

                twelve performances based on the playwright’s life changing experiences

                on being introduced to Judith Snow. Nov. 2005 – Sept. 2008

                 The Suck and Blow Collective: a four person troupe producing shows relating to  

                 personal assistance, including a twenty minute play in the Rhubarb Festival,  

                 Feb. 2006, Buddies in Bad Times, Toronto, ON.

 

Art Shows

March 2007  Three paintings in acrylic hung at the Etobicoke Art Gallery in Etobicoke, ON.

March 2006  Two paintings in acrylic hung at the Alternative Café in Toronto, ON.

March 2005  Four paintings in acrylic hung at the Assembly Hall, a cultural centre in Etobicoke, ON.

1994  What’s Really Worth Doing and How To Do It -

          A Book for People Who Love Someone Labeled Disabled (Possibly Yourself),

          published by Inclusion Press, Toronto, ON.

1990  From Behind the Piano - The Story of Judith Snow’s Unique Circle of Friends,

          written jointly with Jack Pearpoint; published by Inclusion Press, Toronto, ON.

 

Creating Supports for Participate as Full Citizens for People with Disabilities

1977         Founded and directed Canada’s first Learning Centre at the post secondary

     level – accommodation for students and faculty who have barriers to academic

     achievement

1980   Canada’s first citizen to have direct funding – support dollars controlled by the

                 supported person, not an agency or institution

1981 – 2007 Brought about internationally the wide spread use of support circles as a means

     to empower people with intellectual disabilities

  2003        Founded the World Peace through Inclusive Transformation Initiative

Fees:

Every fee is always negotiable.

 

The basic framework is: $1500/day for Day 1 and Day 2,

plus travel costs for Judith Snow and her personal assistant(s).

The fee for an evening or half day is $800

plus travel costs for Judith Snow and her personal assistant(s).

Workshops longer than two days may be negotiated.
